About Me
I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, with the exception of living in Phoenix, Arizona for 5 years in my early elementary years. I attended Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY where I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education. However, instead of teaching right away, my husband and I moved to Crossnore to be cottage parents, working six years in a residential setting. I have since homeschooled 3 of my 4 children, earned a master's degree in reading, taught in Avery County Schools, Bethel Christian Academy, and now here, at Williams Academy.
I am excited to teach and serve your child here at Williams Academy. I aim to challenge, encourage and love each child. My desire is that every student finds joy in learning and discovering the world around them. Beginning with the end in mind, my goal is to help each one find academic success, leading to their graduation date.
