I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, with the exception of spending five years in Phoenix, Arizona during my early elementary years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York. Rather than entering the classroom immediately, my husband and I chose to serve as cottage parents in a residential setting, a deeply rewarding experience we shared for six years here in the mountains at Crossnore Communities for Children.

Since then, I have homeschooled three of my four children, completed a master’s degree in Reading, taught in Avery County Schools and Bethel Christian Academy. I am grateful to be part of the team at Williams Academy since 2019.

I am passionate about teaching and consider it a privilege to support your child’s learning journey. My aim is to challenge, encourage, and care for each student in a way that helps them find joy in learning and confidence in their abilities. With the end goal of graduation in mind, I strive to guide students toward meaningful academic success.
